This was a gift that is going to keep on giving. The gift of a year's membership to the National Gallery, from a dear friend, is going to motivate me to take many visits there this coming year. It will inspire me, uplift me and nudge me to do more of my own painting. Imagine in the dead of winter, being able to wander the galleries at my whim, free-of-charge, to take in all those wonderful colours, textures and images. Sensory stimulation when it is much needed.
